Who We Are

Established in 2002, The Mid-Illinois Jeep Enthusiasts, are a group
of  people brought together by one common thing. The love of Jeeps!
There are few other vehicles with as much of a following, and as
much history as our beloved Jeep.
From It's Heroic roots in WWII, to the present day, Jeeps of all
shapes and sizes have been loved by the people that have owned
and driven them.
Since Jeep is so full  of history, a few of us loyal Jeep owners from the
Jacksonville/Springfield Illinois area decided to get together and form an informal "club".  We
wanted to have a way to come together and share our Jeep stories, and tech info, and
maybe even sell a part or two. We also wanted a way we could gather for outings, and even
as a way to meet other Jeepers.
Over the past few years, the Club has grown to a point that we  have decided to become a
little more organized, with "officers", affiliations with other clubs, and organizations and
even this website.
In 2005, we became members of the Illinois Four Wheel Drive Association, and although we
are not yet financially able to become members, we also support "Tread Lightly", and what
they believe in.
We are open to ALL models of Jeep vehicles, from "street" to "trail rigs", and from "show"
to "rust buckets" From "2WD" to "4WD", and everything "Jeep" in between.
Some of our outings include: camping, cookouts, car shows/cruises, parades, and meet and
greets. We also have been on outings to the Drive-In theater, and on fall color drives.
We have  had several off-road outings, and even an informational "off-roading101" class (put
on by the folks at
RORP).
We also pride ourselves in doing  events such as our toy drives for "Toys for Tots", and our
food drive for the local food pantry.
If our club sounds like something that you'd like to be a part of, Please
Contact us, and we'll
get you the information ...ï¿¿Jeep On!...Scott
